Need a new doormat?

In today’s San Francisco Chronicle columnist Zahid Sardar wrote up an interesting piece about rug designer Angela Adams and her new line of doormats. These colorful designs would look great in front of a mid-century home.

The doormats were designed for indoor and outdoor use, and they’re constructed from a durable material called coir which is made from the husk of coconuts. Adams decided to use coir when designing her doormats because of the material’s vintage quality and natural fiber.

You can find out more about these new doormats and purchase them online at Adams’ official website:

  1. No! I've got 40 year old ankles and those ankles probably belong to someone in their 20s. The picture is of a model and was borrowed from Angela Adam's site. If you follow the link you'll see the pic posted there.

  2. I'm so glad I stumbled onto your site. I was desperately looking for a Christmas gift for a new homeowner of a mid-century modern home. The doormat is perfect and affordable! After the holidays (can't risk ruining the surprise) I will pass along your site for her information and decorating needs.
